All Becker Just For Kix classes are cancelled tonight, in accordance with Becker school district releasing early and cancelling after school activities. 

Again, all Tuesday classes have already have another make-up hour built into our schedule this year (meaning we do not have to schedule a make-up class at this time), with the exception of Winter Teeny Kix.  I will reach out to Winter Teeny Kix separately with a plan to make up this missed class time.

Due to the snow storm that is forecasted to begin at 6:00pm, we are going to hold class tonight from 4:30-6:45pm, then cancel all classes after 6:45pm. Please spread the word!

I know I am making this call SUPER early. There are so many factors; I leave my house to head to dance class at 1:00pm today, so I wanted to make a plan and communicate it well before then. I wanted to have a plan for staff who live outside of town. Above all, we already know that we will be missing a large chunk of the junior level classes tonight, and I am thinking of the rest of the teenagers who we do not want driving at 8:30-9:30pm after several hours of ice, snow, and wind.

This will be the plan UNLESS the school cancels after school activities….per our policy, we will follow the school district. If they cancel all after school activities, we will change our plan and cancel all classes as well to follow policy! If they cancel after 1:00pm, I will likely not be able to send another email.

The Becker Area Just For Kix program is for students ages 2 through 12th grade. Just for Kix is a wonderful program to help prepare dancers for the skill and technique that is needed for high school dance teams.

AT JUST FOR KIX, KIDS SHINE:

If your child's toes can't stop tapping...then Just For Kix is just the program for you. Our dance classes are the perfect way to introduce your child to the world of dance without having the high costs of other dance studios. We pride ourselves on providing a low stress, no pressure environment where young dancers can have fun while gaining relationships that will last a lifetime. At Just For Kix, we treat kids how we would want our own kids to be treated. Here, kids know they are loved and valued for who they are rather than for their dance experience and/or skill level!

TECHNIQUE and BASICS:

Basic placement and technique are a major focus. We work on creating good habits with the younger dancers. Coaches will provide the skill and technique to prepare dancers who are looking to try out for a High School Dance Team. Instruction is very hands on and focused. FLEXIBILITY and STRENGTH is focused on too! They are two key factors in becoming a great dancer; challenging dancers to advance and progress to their top potential.

CHOREOGRAPHY:

Our choreography is what built our business. It is creative, innovative, and age appropriate. Choreography teaches kick technique as well as basic dance technique in a team environment that is very visual to our audiences. Our classes are fast paced and fun. We have great music and great instructors.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

-Dancers will perform multiple times per season.

-Our older classes compete in a “low pressure” environment (4th through 12th grade classes).

-Our dancers wear one costume for each class for the year. Our costumes are tasteful and focus on age appropriate styles.

-Just For Kix prides itself on being organized. We get it done! Class time is maximized so every minute is utilized. Our goal is to have each and every class start on time and end on time.
