How To Do A Turning Leg Hold Just For Kix

05/15/2018

Leg holds take strength and balance. Practice balancing on one foot. Squeeze your abs and base leg muscles. Strengthen your abs and leg muscles.

Don't bring your body to your leg! Think about bringing your leg to your upper body. Keep your back straight.

Use your arm to pull your leg further over when doing a side leg grab. Reach your other arm out. Think about kicking your leg to where it can stop, and then grabbing it while keeping your shoulders back. Watch your base foot. It should be turned out.

For the front leg grab, grab your ankle with your left arm and grab the foot with your right arm. This will give you more balance. Then pull it towards your nose.

For the leg grab turn, start with left leg pointed with arms in 3rd. Plie to the left, spot the corner, and brush your right foot and spot to the corner. Your right leg is straight, your shoulders are down. Land facing the corner.
