Hello Just For Kix Parents and Dancers!
Our first class is tonight and I am SUPER EXCITED to meet you, your dancer and my returning dancers! You are going to love it and really enjoy dancing with us.
I am sure you all have a few questions, so I am posting this to help answer your questions.
Classes start Monday, September 12th
@ Brunswick United Methodist Church
Enter the door in the back by parking, and walk all the way downstairs.

Since the classes are back to back, I ask that you please wait until the previous class leaves the dance room before you enter.
A few details to help our class run smoothly:
If you have younger dancer, please to take them to the bathroom before class.
After parents drop off their dancer, we ask that you leave and come for last 10 minutes of class. At that time we will invite the parents to come in so we can show you what we learned and to hear announcements. This is to help the class run smoothly and without distractions.
If any dancer has anxiety over their parent not staying in the room, we will address it on a family-by-family basis. We want to find a good balance of the dancers feeling secure and be able to accomplish what is needed each week.
Costumes and shoes: We will be sizing dancers next week for their uniform after their class. This way you will know the correct size costume and shoes to order online.
What To Wear To Class: Come in any type of active dancewear. Example: leotard and tights, tank top, t-shirts, spandex short or yoga style pants. Younger dancers wear leotards, tights, skirts, sequins bows, ruffles or tutus. Boys can wear athletic shorts or active wear pants. Long hair pulled back in a ponytail. If you have ballet shoes or jazz shoes, feel free to wear them. If you don’t your dancer can wear her socks until their shoes come in. Please don’t go buy shoes. The shoes you order with their costume can be used for practice as well.
Please do your best to be on time each week. We’ve found with dancers who arrive late, tend to have some anxiety getting going and keeping up with the rest of the group.
When your dancer comes into the class, we ask that they sit as a group before we get going. Dancers, especially younger dancers like to run, but we ask that they stay seated. This way we can use the most of our time.
We do have room for a few more dancers so if you have any friends who may be interested; please let them know it’s not too late to join!
Please let me know if you have any other questions. I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon!
