TO LAST A LIFETIME!
We make sure that what we provide our youth camp dancers is an experience designed to educate, energize and motivate!
Along with the instruction of three routines and the potential of other techniques and styles and the commemorative shirt, the dancers have this to look forward to:
A camp schedule full of stretching, warm-ups, classes, creative theme days, cheers, games, skits & friendship.
Our famous theme days are a hit for dancers AND staff! Dancers have the opportunity to let loose and dress up based on a theme. The 2013 theme days are:
Day 2: Twin, Triplet, Quadruplet Day
Day 3: Just For Kix Camp Tee Shirt Day
Day 2: Clash Day
Day 3: Twin, Triplet, Quadruplet Day
Day 4: Just For Kix Camp Tee Shirt Day
SOLO & SMALL GROUP COMPETITION
Your dance! Your way! Where EVERY performer gets a medal!
We give dancers the opportunity to compete in both Solo & Small Group performances. A dancer can compete in both, however there is a $13 charge per dancer, per category.
Dancers bring a prepared routine to camp and should be ready to perform it on the first day (with their music)
A Solo is one dancer, a Small Group is 2-5 dancers
Dancers compete in the grade they will be going into in the next school year. If dancers are of different ages they must compete in the division of their eldest dancer.
Routine can be no longer than 90 seconds and cannot be a Just For Kix class routine
Finalists are announced at the final camp show and will then perform for trophies
No gymnastics or suggestive choreography is allowed; music must be respectable
Our Youth Camp Instructors are AWE inspiring!
Just For Kix is known for the talented and industry leading camp staff that instructs our summer camps. They understand that was REALLY COUNTS is the achievement of each dancer based on their abilities, not their overall technical skill.
A show worth remembering!
On the last day of camp, a FREE final show is held for all dancers to perform for friends and family. Dancers wear their camp t-shirt and any bottom; leggings, shorts or jazz pants. Dance shoes required, too!
