Disney Tour Member,

Thank you once again for registering to be a part of the Just For Kix-Disney Magic Music Days Tour.  We are excited that you will be joining us in Orlando this summer.  At this time, we have about 150 dancers, parents, chaperones, and coaches traveling to Disney World with us!!!

TOUR DATES:

June 19, 2008- June 23, 2008

PERFORMANCE SHOW:

The seven minute show will be of a dance nature and Cindy Clough, Executive Director of JFK along with her staff, are currently working on the choreography.  Some songs include: Princesses on Parade, ItŐs a Small World, Hey Mickey, and a finale with all dancers to Zippedy Doo Dah! The performance will take place at the Magic Kingdom on the Galaxie stage in Tomorrowland! We are working with the Walt Disney World production staff to plan a great show!

Groups: The dancers will be broken up into three groups for the show. Dancers going in to grades 1 and 2 for the 2008/2009 school year will be Princesses. Grades 3, 4, and 5 will be characters of ŇItŐs a Small WorldÓ, and dancers doing in to grades 6-9 will be cheerleaders for ŇHey Mickey.Ó

CHOREOGRAPHY:

All dancers will learn the choreography on site! We found this to work so well last year and that way the dances are fresh in their minds the entire time they are there.

SCHEDULE:  An final itinerary will be sent out in early June. Please refer to the original schedule in your registration packet at this time.

FLIGHT SCHEDULE:  If you did not book your airline tickets through TravelerŐs Fare, we need to know your flight schedule so we can track your arrival and arrange pick-up at the airport.  You may e-mail your flight information to: stacie@justforkix.com, if you havenŐt done so already.  Please be sure to include your passenger's names, airline, all flight numbers and all arrival and departure times.

ORIENTATION MEETING:  Our official welcome and orientation meeting is scheduled for 6:30 PM on Thursday, June 19.  It will take place in the convention area of the Coronado Springs Resort. There will be signs directing you where to go when you arrive that day. Registration will begin at 6:00pm. All participants, chaperones, parents, and coaches who have arrived, must attend. At this time you will receive all materials you will need for the week, as well as your costume for the show! Each dancer and parent/chaperone will receive a wristband with a matching number on it. Please wear these wristbands for the entire tour! This will be how we check in and release the dancers to parents/chaperones for each rehearsal. We will match each childŐs wristband with their guardian before we release dancers from practice.

Dancers will go almost immediately to rehearsals while parents/chaperones will attend an orientation meeting followed by a social reception.

SHUTTLE SERVICE:  All participants will take DisneyŐs Magic Express from the Orlando airport to the Coronado Springs Resort. If you have not booked your travel plans through TravelerŐs Fare, please send your travel information to our office, so we can let them know when to expect you! Once you arrive in Orlando, please go to the lower level on the ÔBŐ side of the airport, get in line for the Disney Express, and you will be on your way!

*Please see additional attached information about luggage service through DisneyŐs Magical Express. Please note that this service may take 3+ hours after landing but is well worth the wait! We suggest you pack a small carry-on bag with items you may need immediately when you arrive.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:  We will be staying at the Coronado Springs Resort right on the Disney property. The phone number is: 407-939-1000.  Your room will be prepaid through our tour. You will be asked to leave a credit card at the front desk for any incidentals and upgrades.

EXTRA NIGHT STAY:  If you are coming in a day early or staying a day late, please call the hotel directly.  Additional nights must be paid for upon arrival.  Disney resorts will honor our group rate 3 days prior to and after our tour dates. Again, your transportation will still be covered as long as we have your flight itinerary.

REHEARSALS:  All rehearsals will take place at the Coronado Springs Resort. They will take place in ballrooms in the convention center area of the hotel. Please make sure dancers arrive 10 minutes before rehearsals. We would ask that parents do not stay throughout rehearsals. Please pick your child up promptly at the end of rehearsals. Remember to have your wristband on to pick up your dancer. Please send a water bottle with your child as they need to stay hydrated!

PARK HOPPER PASS: You will receive your 3-day Park Hopper Pass at our orientation meeting. It will be valid for June 20, 21, 22. If you wish to attend the parks on days before or after these dates, you will need to purchase these passes separately.

More detailed information will come out in our final mailing about this opportunity. All dancers MUST have jazz or ballet shoes to wear to the workshop. No street shoes, bare feet or socks will be allowed.
